Crayonne Mirror, Terence Conran for Habitat
Crayonne Mirror, Terence Conran for Habitat
Terence Conran set up Conran Associates in 1971, a consultancy with a leaning towards product design, and through this consultancy he won a Design Centre Award in 1974 for a series of brightly coloured plastic objects designed for Crayonne, which were subsequently stocked in Conran’s Habitat stores. Forming part of the Crayonne range, this dark brown plastic framed mirror features a curved profile and the backing plate provides alternative mounting points which allow the mirror to be hung in either a square or diamond orientation.
In excellent condition - the plastic is unscratched with no fading and there are no signs of tarnishing or de-silvering to the mirrored glass. The ‘Crayonne’ label is evident on the reverse.
